2020 Team Apparel - SHOP NOW!

Shop the 2020 GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY Store!

Hurry, shops closes 08/17/2020.

The 2020 apparel store is open! You can browse for some great stuff that the seniors designed and selected. The store will be open until Monday, August 17th (the first day of the season!). This will be our first wave of ordering, so if there is interest later in the season we may be able to open the store again. However, you will get your gear much sooner if you order it now and another wave is not guaranteed, nothing this season is as you all know. Here is the link for the store. You have to order on the website!

This is all optional, but we recommend you buy the racing shorts because they are much more comfortable to race in than the uniform shorts. One note about the Bionic jacket: it runs large, so there are youth sizes available. It is a thick jacket and will keep you plenty warm!

We can’t wait to see you rocking some of this gear for our exciting season!

4th of July Checklist

Get your Serum Ferritin tested

This iron test is important to ensure you can perform at your best level Make sure you get a specific number with your test result You can get this test from many places, often including your doctor's office.

Get fitted for running shoes

You should visit a running store to get fitted for shoes Make sure you get shoes at least every season you run; shoes get worn out with the more miles you put on them We recommend TC Running or Gear West. They have a student athlete discount

Make sure you have a watch

This doesn't have to be anything fancy! You just need something that can track your time, distance tracking is another option There are affordable options easily available; more advanced options are available at running stores where you may get fitted for shoes or online

Make sure you get team reminders

We have reminders sent out via email AND we are starting to use the Remind app for quick announcements, so make sure you have access to these

Text @wayzatax to 81010 to join Remind

Make sure you are also logging on to the summer training doc for announcements and tracking your runs

Stay safe

You should be following social distancing suggestions and state health guidelines. We want you to be safe and healthy! Make sure you are taking care of yourself & taking time to recover

If you have any questions, call, text, or email your coaches!

Thank you Coach Chris!

Ellen Ramsey named WINNER of WHS Virtual Survivor! Watch the video to see the final results of this year’s virtual survivor competition. The survivor contestants had a different challenge every day and submitted what they did to student council. Monday they made artwork for nursing homes, Tuesday they played trivia over zoom, Wednesday they pranked their families, Thursday they made TikToks, and Friday they all cooked themed dinners. “It was a blast and I’m so grateful we were able to do survivor week despite not being in school!!” said Ellen after she won. Fellow cross country and track teammate, Mallika, was also a contestant.
