SUMMER 2019 DISTANCE RUNNING CAMP

Who: Incoming 7-12th grade female athletes

What: Build a solid fitness foundation while learning what it takes to become a successful distance runner through long runs, quality workouts, strides, core, strength and stretching/yoga. New friendships with potential teammates, coaches and other runners will be formed through fun team building activities and a community service project - trail maintenance.

Why: Be part of something great! The Wayzata Girls Cross Country Team believes their success begins with a solid foundation built by training together in the summer.  Historic state championships won in 2012-2014, 2017 as well a National Championship in 2013 proves that summer training is fundamental and fun!

Our middle school team will not be having official practice but you are welcome to join the high school team for their MEA practice schedule (check Dave’s emails). You can ask a parent to run with you or ride a bike next to you to keep you company.  You can also call a teammate if you are in town. Running is more fun when you have company!
