Week of Oct. 14th

Hello XC Athletes and Families!

This upcoming week brings lots of excitement and some housekeeping items.

Our home meet is this Monday, Oct. 15th @ East Middle School!

• Location: Wayzata East Middle School - 12000 Ridgemount Ave W, Plymouth, MN 55441

• Race times: 8th grade girls 4:50 and 7th grade girls 5:30

• Dismissal from class/Bus times:

  • CMS: 3:15/3:25

  • WMS: 3:10/3:20

  • EMS 3:35 (no bus :) )

    There is no bus returning to CMS. You need to be picked up at EMS.

Housekeeping items…

1. No practice this Thursday or Friday (MEA weekend). However, we will be posting workout ideas on the announcements page by Wednesday to keep you active and ready for our final meet of the season - Tuesday, Oct 23rd.

2. Monday, Oct. 22nd we will have a party to celebrate the season and get ready for our final meet. Practice and the party will be done by 5:30. We are asking girls to bring in $6 for food as we are catering. Girls are welcome to bring treats, but are not expected to.

3. Uniforms will be collected after the race on Tuesday, Oct. 23rd.

Meet CANCELLED!!

The meet today, October 9th, at Freeman Park is cancelled due to the wet conditions. We WILL be having practice.

REMINDER!!  There is no practice on Thursday due to the High School Conference Meet.  We encourage the girls to come watch the JV girls race at 4:40 at Gale Woods.

Can you believe there is only 2.5 weeks left of the season?! Our MS girls are all working so hard and their dedication is showing! Here is a preview of this upcoming week:

• WMS: 2:45/2:55

• EMS: 2:25/2:35

Races begin at 4pm

This race is expected of all MS athletes. If your daughter is injured and cannot run, she can still come to cheer on her teammates. As always, if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

NO PRACTICE THURSDAY OCT 11TH!!!!

Thursday is the HS Conference meet at Gale Wood - 7210 County Road 110 West, Minnetrista, MN 55364 . Although we will not have practice that day, we encourage you and your daughters to come out and cheer on the HS athletes as they race for a Conference title! Races begin at 3:40 pm.

Week of October 1st

WOW!! It is October!!! We had a great weekend of running. We had our middle school girls competing in all races, Varsity at Griak, Varsity, Jr. Varsity, and the Middle School race at Willmar. It was a little cold, however a fun day for running.

This week we have a meet at Pamela Park on Thursday. 4:20 8th grade Girls/5:00 7th grade Girls

Dismissal times: CMS 2:50/WMS 2:30/EMS 2:50

Friday is our special McDonald’s ice cream (or french fries) run. We will run to the McDonald’s in Wayzata, eat, and walk back.
