Week of September 10th

We had a great first week.  Attendance was really good.  If your daughter is going to be gone, please let us know at practice or by email.  We do not have any meets during the week, however the girls can participate at the Metro Invitational at Eden Prairie on Saturday.  This is optional but highly encouraged. There are two races 2600m and a 5000m.  Majority of the girls will run the 2600m. We will be asking the girls if they are able to participate on Monday and Tuesday.  We hope they have had a conversation with you.

  • 11:50 AM Girls Middle School Race - 2600 M

Come join us for coffee and donuts this Saturday from 10am - 12:30pm during the Metro Invitational race. This is a great opportunity to meet the parents of the girls XC team and also celebrate 50 yrs of XC at Wayzata High School.  Please wear your Wayzata spirit wear and help cheer on our girls!  After the races, stay for the awards ceremony & cheer on our runners as they get awards.  Look for the blue & yellow awnings.

Monday August 27 - Practice Plan CHANGE

We are changing plans today, so we are hoping you see this message. Please make it a goal to contact as many of your teammates as possible, especially those that avoid their e-mails. 

We would like you to get your run in at some time today before the thunder-boomers get here. This is for everyone, group one, group two AND middle school athletes.

WE are still having practice, but not a big workout today. 

Your run should be a medium run today with some strides.

This is where we find out how good we are going to be on days like today. How do you deal with chaos? This could actually turn out to have a to of benefit if you get out the door on your own.

We will still meet at 3:30 pm in gyms 7 and 8. If there is a window in the weather, we will go outside, so be prepared.

Monday - Friday 8:30 - 10:30 AM @ Wayzata High School 

  • Tuesday 8/21 @ 5:30 PM 3-Winner Fundraiser *Only need to attend if you have not pre-sold your three required cards
  • Wednesday 8/22 @ 8:30 - 11 AM for uniforms (10 AM) and team pictures (10:30 AM)

Saturday 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM @ Gleason Lake Elementary's Luce Line *Optional practice for middle school team
